The Italian secured his place in the final by defeating Russian Andrey Rublev 6-7(3), 7-5, 6-4 in a demanding match that lasted 2 hours and 45 minutes. The player from Carrara showed character and resilience to reverse a duel of maximum intensity and reach the ninth ATP final of his career, the first of the 2026 season. The victory has an additional symbolic value for the Italian, who this Monday will become the third player from his country to enter the Top 5 of the ranking, following in the footsteps of Adriano Panatta and Jannik Sinner. For Musetti, it will be the ninth ATP final and the third in the last four tournaments of this category, with the certainty of finishing the week within the Top 5. For Bublik, on the other hand, the possibility is double: to lift the title in Hong Kong and get into the world's top 10 for the first time. Additionally, Musetti is having a perfect week in Hong Kong, where he will also dispute the doubles final alongside his compatriot Lorenzo Sonego. In turn, Bublik reached the final by defeating American Marcos Giron 3-6, 6-4, and 6-2. The Kazakh confirmed his great present and reached his fourth final in the last five ATP 250 tournaments, consolidating an unprecedented regularity in his career. The final will pit two tennis players in full growth against each other.
